Description and genus features of Fritillaria

Plants with large single, rare more flowers, settle on the top of the stem. Species of the genus are similar to these of Tulip (Tulipa) but the tulips flowers are uprighted in contrast to the Fritillary's flowers which are bent downed.

In Bulgaria there is seven species and they all are protected.
